As much as I hate to admit it, Facebook targeted ads work...I’ve (eventually) bought more than one thing b/c of them.

Never bought a damn thing from Twitter, FB, or anyone but Instagram and Amazon seem to nail it because they show me things related to things I already own.

I have bought a video game system and a punching bag thing b/c of facebook ads...both are right in the middle of my interest zones (that I'm a sucker for). Have actually been super happy with both products so far too...

It's not hard for them to get under your skin if you participate. I'm guessing

I actually don't think advertising and trying to sell me something is bad. My issue with internet advertising is how low quality it is compared to the level of surveillance done, and how it's used as an infection vector for viruses.
