The bankruptcy story line in Big Little Lies is such total bullshit. A woman worth that much would have her business assets completely separate and protected in a corporation plus at the wealth level they claim she’d have offshore assets. Not having this ruins the veracity.
The writers can’t have the wife be this strong hard charging smart business woman who then also doesn’t know how to create a proper corporation, separate her money from his, or put assets in their kid’s names. It’s an artificial blunder to make her interesting.
