Just about every empath I’ve ever seen proclaim they “hate jerks” is secretly a manipulative little asshole who I know has stolen, abused, and conned their way to the top while projecting a fake righteous image. Truly empathic people can handle those with fewer social graces.
In fact, I’ll go so far as to say people who call themselves “empaths” are actually some of the cruelest I’ve met. They love ostracism, rumors, slander, back room deals, social manipulation, propaganda, and secret authority. They use empathy as just one more excuse to do those.
In general, empathy and narcissism never go together. They’re completely different psychological states that cannot coexist. An empath can understand people without hating them. A narcissist runs around calling people “jerks” for minor offenses like daring to challenge them.
