Watching a guy make a Rembrandt master copy and he’s making his own oil paint, even lead white and vermillion which are poisonous. He mashes in the pigments in the oil with no gloves or mask and then leaves the tops off the fucking jars of raw pigment. I keep staring at the jars.

You joke but one symptom of lead poisoning is a desire to put eat more lead and other random things.

Yes, not fumes though because lead is a metal so doesn't oxidize or evaporate. It's a dust though so any wind or fan can spew it into the air and there is no safe level of lead: https://www.cdc.gov/nceh/lead/acclpp/blood_lead_levels.htm … People don't understand the significance of that:

Just about every poison--even the very most toxic deadly shit--has *some* PPM level that isn't toxic. That's how people build up tolerances and immunity to them. Lead is so toxic there hasn't been a safe level found. That means *any* amount of lead causes problems.

The problem is, "toxic" in terms of lead isn't deadly in the short term. It just causes developmental problems that manifest later so people don't take it seriously. I've seen dudes painting with 6 lead based paints w/o gloves and cuts on their hands, even doctors.
