I’ve begun to disable retweets or entirely unfollow my more politically insane friends, even if I agree with their politics. I’m finding the ones who retweet the same monotonous politics all day long also seem to condone mass abuse and an us-vs-them mentality that’s depressing.
I also have no idea where they find the time. I have three friends who must retweet about 10 things a minute for hours and hours, 24 hours a day, the same hyper agressive and down right aggressive political ranting. It has to be automated it’s so consistent.
Prob have a retweet later or something crazy set up. Twitter bots are easy to build and / or buy.
And having all that negativity on your timeline (even when you agree) really affects your mood.
