Are you using Shadow DOM? If so, I would love to hear any challenges or frustrations you've experienced. Lots of talks on next steps/improvements - want to make sure we have as much data as we can.
I actually have a question: Nobody can clearly explain the point of the shadow DOM other than hiding things from the user. Is there more?

Yeah, though there's a lot here and it's hard to articulate in short words - will try. its purpose is a way to compose trees and provide abstraction mechanisms for them to cooperate with their own 'view' on what the DOM is. To your page <video> contains children about sources 1/n

but in order to render controls and stuff, those are just more DOM underneath - <inputs> and <buttons> and CSS and so on. the 'pointer' it hangs off of is the shadowRoot, it's not a child. Stuff inside the shadow only has to think about its own problems, stuff outside too 2/N
