Wellllll, if you want no distraction writing a typewriter is the best device. Problem becomes when you have to turn that into something digital so you can use it.
I think that a "no distractions" goal is more important than I've been willing to admit to myself. Speaking for myself, I've been far to giving of my attention than I should have and my mental health suffered as a result.
