      Overwhelmed by the number of options for DIY computer building, I'm taking a different approach to building a computer. Rather than start with "what it is" (how much RAM, HD, etc), I'm starting with "what it should do" and just reframing the concept has been interesting:

      Here are the goals I've come up with so far: - The computer is instantly available from the moment I start typing - Nothing I create can be lost - I only see information I care about - I'm only interrupted for critical things
