A progressive or socialist response is to display compassion and assume that the person on the other side of a disagreement is still a human and not the enemy. By immediately jumping to the stance that I am your enemy in a disagreement you are being fascist, not progressive.

I wasn't reacting to your disagreement. I was reacting to the fact that virtually EVERY response included assumptions that I had my opinion because I was ignorant in some way. Example: telling me to read the article, telling me to familiarize myself with xyz
