Is very small form factor important? Weather proof? 4K? Something like the Sony A5100 would be very versatile, but it might be on the bigger end.
I’ve been looking for a replacement camera for my gopros. I’ve done 26 useable painting videos with the gopro and it cost me about 10 more due to design flaws. I saw the DJI Osmo Pocket and it might be the solution I want. 4k@60, 140m battery, gimbal, tiny, wifi.

Jesus! Can't believe people would snatch a camera seeing you focused on painting. Osmo is an attention grabber so be sure to keep an eye on someone grabbing it too
