Yes, I found similar information but that's just for Schengen visa. I guess I could just pop in and out every 90 days but it'd be nice to stay longer.

There's an “international talents” visa that may be appropriate if you fit in any of the categories: https://france-visas.gouv.fr/en_US/web/france-visas/international-talents-and-economic-attractiveness …. Or you could enrol in a painting course and apply for a student visa? (You can still work under a student visa, but only for a fixed number of hours.)

BINGO! I think I might possibly meet 2-3 of those possibilities. Thank you.

I'm not sure of the details but you can stay up to a year in Paris, as long as you prove that you won't use the public healthcare system or try to get a job in France
-
Very interesting. Would you know the name of this visa?

Just sign up for a painting class and get a student visa (VLS-T). Welcome to Europe! And come paint the beautiful Andalusian countryside for a weekend if you have the chance

-
I've looked into that too but it seems more difficult. Thanks for that option though, I didn't know about a VLS-T.
