If someone could help me figure out what's the best thing to do in this situation, I would appreciate it. I am a foreigner, and I have no clue about the resources I've got. I would like to file a complaint or report (no energy for a lawsuit tho). Thx

"Renter" in California and San Francisco is defined by how long you have lived at a residence no matter what agreement you had. I believe if you were there 30+ days you have renter's rights, and even if you're an illegal immigrant or not from SF.
