I am reaching the end of Z Nation, and I have to say, just watch Season 1-3. I think Trump got elected and they went from hilarious and inventive escapist horror fiction to preaching at me secretly with allegories about the US Political scene, totally ruining the show.

Yep, it's really good until Season 4. That's when they stopped being funny and tried to slip politics into it. The tone of the show just just doesn't fit it so it comes off as super weird and bad. There's 1 good episode where 2 dudes run for president though.

It's not, preachy, it's more like if someone wanted to do a Z Nation fan fiction about the group encountering racism/terrorism/elections/wealthy elites for their junior highschool class and doesn't want you to realize it but ends up being really obvious.
