Wait, I'm a little confused by this: https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2019/jan/03/police-reinforcements-for-northern-ireland-in-case-of-no-deal-brexit-1000-officers-training-trouble-hard-border … Is this saying that, should the UK hard Brexit, that they'd.....close off Northern Ireland from the rest of Ireland? That seems like a *very* bad idea.

It’s a good pun for a terrifying scenario though. The Troubles starting again gives me nonstop nightmares.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh but you are missing something: I *think* that Germany is down to send in troops and enforce a NIxit. I don't think the UK is willing to challenge the EU's military might should N.Ireland decide to leave and join them as per their right under Good Friday.

And the irony is that the most pro-UK party in NI are the ones pushing for the most hard border, completely oblivious to its implications.

Yeah, someone else said that, so like, what? That makes no sense. Could it be they really aren't pro-UK and know this will cause a separation?
