Ohhhhhhh you would love this book: https://www.gutenberg.org/files/33283/33283-pdf.pdf … Seriously. Not trying to get you to learn calc ('cause you're right, it's not needed). But, that book is a beautiful demonstration of how to teach something complicated to someone who knows almost nothing.

I mean, the author starts the book by giving you the names of all the symbols used in math. That should win it 5 stars already. That version is free but the original so kind of old.
