If you follow me here on twitter, I'm sure you know that I don't think that the major news orgs are doing a good job covering white extremism - here are the sites (obv missing a lot) that I trust. @IGD_News @UR_Ninja @HuffPost @propublica and for fact-checking @erumors.

In general sites can get it wrong, even the ones I named above occasionally so i find it best to follow the journalists directly. @letsgomathias @AndyBCampbell work for HuffPo and are continually doing on the ground reporting from protests, trump rallies etc. VITAL to follow them

Follow @aurabogado for incredible investigative coverage of immigration issues. @brooklynmarie is a border journalist and fact-checker extraordinaire. @KitOConnell writing on antifascism @chick_in_kiev who is the best of twitter and is currently working on a book on extremism.

Groups! Definitely, follow @splcenter their researchers are badass @MichaelEHayden to name one. Speaking of badasses - @DLamontJenkins and his @OnePeoplesProj are a group that you not only follow but support as he is on the ground confronting fascism daily risking his life.

MSNBC gave @cpicciolini a great platform with the #BreakingHate series which is a must-watch on deradicalizing white extremists and his org @FreeRadicalsOrg is an important one to support. https://www.christianpicciolini.com/

Ok, let's continue SO MANY AWESOME RESEARCHERS. So many of these incredible people do this work for free because they know how important it is and how the govt won't do it. First: @ashkenaz89 who tracks the Proud Boys at this link http://proudboyswhisperer.com/ 

Speaking of the Proud Boys, this incredible radical white supremacy researcher had a couple of them show up and threaten her at her home @gwensnyderPHL - which alone goes to show you what activists and researchers are looking at when they 'choose' to get into this field.

There are a ton of great researchers that I didn't include in this field - and a lot of them work at @mmfa. These are the poor underpaid souls that watch hours of FoxNews, OAN and listen to podcasts so vile that they must go through headphones weekly. Definitely, follow them.

I'm hoping that most of you already know about @slpng_giants - and the incredible work they've done to demonetize hate on the internet - but if you don't, then you damn well should be following them. They're the best of twitter-activism.

Books! I'm currently reading @shane_burley1's excellent Fascism Today: What It Is and How to End It and @P_Strickland_'s Alerta! Alerta! Both have considerably expanded my understanding of the field and given me alternating hope and despair... as any good book should.

Also make sure to check out (it's on @netflix) the doc starring @DLamontJenkins - Alt-right: Age of Rage. One of the few I've seen that actually seems to know how to position an interview with Alt-right figures w/o giving them a platform.
