(No gameplay changes. I pretty much expect to never update the HL game file again; the remaining bugs are too small to be worth the hassle. But the UI is based on Lectrote, which is actively supported.)

I have a beta update of Hadean Lands on Steam! This works on Linux again; also supports OS dark themes. To test: right-click Hadean Lands in Steam, hit Properties, Betas, select "Public beta branch" (no password needed). It should install the update automatically. Let me know!

Further beta update: the “Solo Oath” menu option is back. The “Cover Art” menu option is now properly disabled on windows other than the story window.

The beta branch does not work for me with Debian. It complains that chrome-sandbox has to be owned by root and have mode 4755 or sandboxing won't work. If I change that, it still fails to start but now all I get is "Trace/breakpoint trap", whatever that means.

I can get the updated version to work after all, if I use the --no-sandbox option. It's documented as "If you want to live dangerously and need an immediate workaround", but I guess I'll have to trust
