    It's been a particularly tough time for older people but the vaccine gives hope of light at the end of the tunnel, as I saw today helping out at one of the Coventry vaccine centres. In the months ahead, there must be no complacency as we rollout the vaccine & suppress the virus.

    One of my reporters has had to make her Twitter profile private today because a *government minister* tweeted out screenshots of a completely standard request for comment on a story, and accused her of spreading disinformation. Absolutely extraordinary.

    The abuse, death threats & violence Jeremy has been subjected to is horrific. And to be frank, papers like the Mail & the Sun have a lot to answer for. Portraying a man committed to social justice as a danger, as evil, as a threat to national security. That's unacceptable.

    As people may have seen in media reports today, in May last year I was spat at in an unprovoked assault. I would like to put on record my thanks to the police for their speedy response at the time and co-operation since. I will be donating the compensation I receive to charity.

    The Tories' public sector pay freeze is a disgrace. Tory MPs stood on their doorsteps clapping for key workers, but now they're refusing to give them the pay rise they deserve. It was great to speak about this at Midlands' rally this afternoon.
