All things considered I've decided it's time my personal website went not just https-available but all-https (with redirects from http).
@thatcks wait a moment, didn't you write on your blog how evil it was to redirect http?

@zaitcev If I was doing this for a new site I would go https only from the start, but now I don't want to break existing URLs, feeds, etc. -
@thatcks how is this you're not breaking existing feeds when fetchers have to handle it now. 301s, sure, but what about certs? -
@zaitcev The certificate I'm using should pass verification; it's an official one, not a self-signed one. Liferea on Fedora 19 seems happy.

@zaitcev It's a judgment call and there are compatibility issues for existing sites. Also I'm doing it more for privacy than for security.
