So we just shipped LLC support for Stripe Atlas, which has been at the top of my list for a while. What should we build next?

Austen Allred @AustenFree startup idea: It's terribly annoying to register your company in new states. Have to register with secretary of state, then unemployment, workers comp, registered agent. It takes us 5+ hours per state; killer for remote company. I'd pay $500-1000/state to make it one click1 reply 0 retweets 6 likes -

I was curious about this too. Some of their testimonials mention remote workers so I reached out to their support a few days ago:pic.twitter.com/yO1PJpfMY0

Interesting. The problem is that you’d have to switch to JW as a PEO. For companies running on something leaner like Gusto, there is no option for state-by-state registrations.

The other problem is that it isn’t necessarily driven by remote employees - it’s driven by nexus. If you have inventory/fulfillment centers in multiple states, as an example, you have to register in each state.

I’m not sure - it’s a problem I had in my last company but I sold it, so it isn’t fresh in my mind. Only have nexus in one state now.
