I'm also going to carve out a small fund for this: If any hiring company reimburses for travel instead of purchasing it for a student, Lambda School will pay for it and receive the reimbursement. This is a silly problem to have.
One reason companies don't pay directly for air travel is because it requires asking for date of birth, which raises discrimination issues.

Pretty easy to book flight for yourself, give someone the login and have them change it to their info. Done it multiple times.

Seems like an opportunity for a corporate OTA. Give the person you fly out a budget and a login and let them fill out the information on their own and choose the flight that works for them.
