The (almost certainly not) true point: Amazon is NOT large enough to create lots of new opportunities for manufacturers to sell *new* products at a scale relevant to business. Anything worth selling is something they can get a regional retailer to try. Just do the math.

I personally know multiple seven-figure, pure-Amazon businesses that sell products you can't find (and will never find) at a regional retailer.

Can you name them publicly? Do they have zero brick & mortar presence?

And I think the operative word there is *lots*. 1000 such businesses would be as big as ... Dick's Sporting Goods, or Nordstrom's, or maybe Best Buy. A big deal but not some world-altering change in retail.
