You should include Peter Senge's "The Fifth Discipline". That book (or maybe just the first third of it) introduced systems thinking--or at least I'm not aware of anybody who came earlier.

+1 For "Thinking in Systems"! Filled with deep insight; but also teaches humility/empathy/curiosity about real world systems, that are just as important for innovation IMHO

Good set. Have read / absorbed most. I’d prioritize Waldrop’s Complexity as a readable intellectual history of SFI and great intro to the topic, and add Brian Arthur’s collection of papers on on complexity Economics.
