I've been thinking about this since you mentioned to me a couple years ago... what about parents with children? Special request for double-occupants? Or that much trust in the system to put a baby in a single-occupant vehicle?

There will still be a market for that stuff, but 80% of volume will be covered by single occupant vehicles.

why do you think they are the next thing? Most seem to be talking about shared transports?

shared transport is what people think other people should use. but in reality, people don't want to share - most trips have 1 passenger.

it'll probably be something that looks closer to bikes? so the bike sharing networks and electric bike developments are probably stepping stones in this direction

I think it's something that looks closer to a soapbox derby car...I call them coffin cars, but that could probably use a rebrand
