Seems like a handful of outspoken ‘villains’ like this could make it very uncomfortable for people to be anti-housing.

Instead of writing an anti-NIMBY op-ed, someone should take one for the team and heap praise on negative effects of NIMBYism. E.g. “I’m voting for [anti-housing candidate X] because they will raise property values, keep poor people out of our city,” etc.

Mark Twain, H.L. Menkin, and other early greats were real pioneers in this. Not entirely sure that the current environment would be so kind to such tongue-in-cheek commentary though.
