Ha! I posted the same thing on Facebook years ago. One of the best threads I ever had. Some friends understood my sense of humor and played up the joke, while others explained the dial to me, clucked their tongues at my male domestic ignorance, or gave me practical laundry advice

Some fabrics need more or less heat than others to avoid wrinkling, and the machine has no idea what you put in it. I'd prefer dryers with continuous dials for time and heat level.
