replies are the best part of this platform by far, unfortunately used by trolls as well
Maybe we don't need a radically decentralized twitter. Maybe we just need twitter without replies - quote-tweet only, no moderation at all. Option to mute all quote-tweets. Eliminate abuse and run it with a team of <50, each person with very little power.

This is a great idea. The biggest value for me on this platform is DM conversations. The reply threads just turn into showboating, conspiracy theory-laden messes.
