And a floppy disk for Save means Microsoft wants you to use a floppy disk? ;) it doesn's say "tires low" because display space is limited.

100+ languages, there are many types of warnings, display must be CHEAP, icons must be universal so any mechanic can diagnose them anywhere

So yes the tradeoffs are in favor of an icon from any way you look at it. More expensive cars do also say "check tire pressure" in addition
