2/ I have so many - perhaps too many - thoughts on how folks get tripped up from seed to A, but it’s all been said before.

3/ The Series A “reality” begins to set in when seeded companies go for insider extensions, second seeds, an post-seeds.

4/ And, that journey to find capital after the first round depletes three precious resources: time, energy, and bandwidth.

5/ At least in Bay Area, seed is so easy to raise that many (not all) take the next rounds for granted & enter new rounds too casually.

6/ Some raise “bloated” seed rounds. I try to avoid these b/c I believe it removes a key constraint that enables entrepreneurial behavior.
