A great thing or a depressing thing? The benefit of being smart/well educated is you come to understand how the world works can can thrive & not be taken advantage of. The downside is you become more aware of how dysfunctional/suboptimal it is, often to the point of despair.

I find it inspiring (so many places to do great work), and validating (I had a feeling it wouldn’t seem different when I was older).

Not being conspiratorial but ‘if a turtle is on a fence post it didn’t get thier on its own’ Meaning incentives would point to old media hyping the value of paying them. Also might explain thier hate of Facebook & Google, which disaggregates/deracinates their $$. & power
