Completely agree wth you there. But the PE model focused on turning around the company (largely from an operational standpoint - cutting costs, layoffs and such) still deserves a discussion. Wouldn’t you say?
No. Sometimes owners need liquidity, sometimes companies need turning around. If neither needs existed, private equity wouldn’t exist.

I’m not talking bipolar here. Of course the market tells it’s needed. But the entire industry doesn’t need a monolithic reputation built on the worst narratives. Maybe as you say the journalistic proclivity to do that is responsible. Either way, that could use some undoing. No?
