I don’t literally mean light the money on fire, of course. I mean use the money to buy weapons, and then light those weapons on fire in order to kill people.

Such a dramatic image! I'd rather we invest government revenue as thoughtfully as we can, with a focus on areas that markets can't solve, and a goal to maximize human achievement by investing in undervalued resources.
