- You're shown a random connection's photo.
- If you know the person's name, title, or ANY company they've been at, they stay. Otherwise, connection removed.

Correct me if I’m wrong here but - There is also no incentive for them to care about real connections from a business model standpoint. The way they make money is totally independent from the quality of the connections.
The way they make money long term is by having a network that members consider to be valuable.

I agree with that, but my sense is that, at the stage that they’re at, it turned into a cash cow for a much larger company, and they make money by milking the existing network and providing insights and access to recruiters.
