The article is about insatiable desire to amass wealth and status; doesn't imply that work can't be personally fulfilling or its own motivation. Have to read past the headline.
I read the whole article. At no point does it mention the possibility of people enjoying their career.

I said it didn't imply that work isn't fulfilling. It doesn't mention it because that's not the subject. The motivation for a 450-foot yacht is the subject.
