Unless I’m misunderstanding your point, which is possible.
AWS has both billion-dollar startups and a large number of Fortune 500. There’s nothing about AWS that is unfriendly/inferior for enterprise.

I agree, never said it was. But I’m thinking that running on AWS vs Azure won’t change how the govt operates. The end result would be pretty much the same whether they had picked either. Cloud vs COBOL systems is a big change, but AWS vs Azure isn’t, afaik.

It isn’t about feature parity now (ignoring the fact that it isn’t even close today) - the government will be running on Azure ~forever. The arc of technology is long, and Microsoft bends towards terrible and expensive.
