For small businesses, it’s 1/10th the cost to make something in China vs the US. A 30% tariff doesn’t bring manufacturing back; it puts small companies with low margins out of business. The stronger businesses survive, increasing income inequality.

This is nonsense written by someone that's never run a small manufacturing business. It's large businesses that can exploit and arbitrage between low-paid labor overseas and a developed US market to sell into. Small businesses don't have the resources to exploit your game.

I ran a small manufacturing business for 15 years. The larger the volume, the smaller the price difference becomes.
