Dude. Sweeping generalizations like this are just as bad as the stuff you're critiquing. Let's not take a bad element of 2019 journalism -- of which there are many -- and just paint all of ""modern journalism"" with it. That's pretty shit reporting, too.
Given the relatively low number of journalists at major publications, a sample size of one is meaningful and should be called out.
A lot of tech journalism is simply filling out details in a "big tech companies are bad" narrative with no nuance or sense of perspective. Tech companies aren't universally good but they aren't universally bad either despite the stories which drive the most rage clicks imply.
