I don't mind, but it'll take time and effort. I'll see if it bubbles up to the top of the priority list! In a nutshell, though, /1/ I aspire to do things that no other company has already done, and /2/, even if I didn't, I don't think you can get a strong signal.

I think it depends on how you define “done it before” - e.g. if you are a startup building a product for large scale, it could be something as broad as looking only for engineers with experience building distributed systems.
