Watching La Croix fail to roll out a competing product to Spindrift is the purest example of execution failure that I’ve ever seen. Requires zero innovation or R&D - it’s just an inexcusable decision to fail.

CEO is crazy haha Btw, Polar (Northeastern brand) has released limited edition seltzers with names like Unicorn Kisses that sell out apparently. So maybe they should be the ones to take up the mantle haha

Pretty amazing what Amazon did with Spindrift. Went from $2.99 in coffee shops to $17 for a 24 pack. Speaking of R&D...Spindrift grapefruit is terrific. Cucumber interesting. Everything else subpar. What’s going on there?

I wonder if it’s something about grapefruit’s fitness for beverage flavoring (i.e. easiest to execute) — after all, it was also the most popular La Croix flavor
