I wonder if Stewart Butterfield is just a pure bigot working to strengthen the white patriarchy or if there’s some hidden side benefit to having the world’s most successful software CEOs as investors in a software startup.

Lots of snark all around here, but snark aside, I'm genuinely curious as to whether you think it's a problem for society that so much high-growth startup equity is concentrated in the hands of white guys?

Because my reading of the initial tweet was not that it was bad or irrational for Slack's founders to mostly let their friends / experienced founders invest, it was that it's a shame that the pool of qualified people is so heavily skewed.
