Legally mandated is a fun word to use here -- if you make billions in profits but organize the company such that it gets out of all taxes, were the taxes legally mandated? Legal loopholes shouldn't let companies bail on the social contract.

Then consider that corporations have historically gotten great ROI on tax code lobbyists. If they're compelled to do everything possible to minimize their public contributions, then starting from your moral obligation, you don't seem to think there's any corporate debt to society
