you know I am team serverless but at least right now, it only makes sense if you are a pure SaaS company. if you want that big $$$ enterprise deals and you have to support multi-cloud and on-prem. there isn't really a better choice than Kubernetes

Used k8s at my last startup and it was a terrible decision — you don't need google's infrastructure for a node app with 0 users

Dude couldn't agree more. 3-4 years in the for-real ops trenches (billion+ device-scale analytics) and so much of what's coming out today misses the mark. Better software + more thoughtful data architecture = you don't need crazy "observability"/k8s/logging tools/etc.
