Every deduction a company takes is one that the tax system is designed to incentivize the to take. For politicians to then say, “why did you do what we asked you to do?” is so disingenuous.

Its easier to identify an individual scapegoat over looking at total Revenue. A responsible way is to look at the ecosystem that Amazon provides for jobs (reducing government aid) other small businesses (which also pay taxes) and innovation it facilitates with customers (AWS) /2

Have to then go back and look at who/what has the ability to substitute Amazon in the ecosystem if they weren't able to invest into themselves the same way. Who would have substituted and at what tax benefit? We can't freeze the economy. It is always changing 2/2
