They've been doing that, and haven't you noticed the terrible results? Crumbling infrastructure, lousy services. Maybe your customers should just pay you less and wonder why you can't deliver your services too!

You must know that Amazon's tax bill is low from carryforward losses. Do you think Amazon should voluntarily donate in excess of its legal tax obligations, or are you suggesting that Amazon be taxed on some measure other than profit, or is there something else you're proposing?

Totally agree. This is also why I steal cars. I care about the climate! Until cars are zero emissions, I’m pretty much obligated to steal them, no?

Stealing cars is illegal. Paying the minimum tax that is legally required is, by definition, legal.

Also, the govt is the one that created the tax system and the resulting incentives. You can't set the rules and then complain when people and organizations act within those rules.

I believe corporations wouldn’t mind paying taxes if they knew the government could effectively utilize the money properly.

I believe corporations generally don't mind paying taxes that are legally mandated, and are generally opposed to voluntary additional donations to the Treasury.
