Agreed. My biggest fear is that the consumer pricing is so low it's unsustainable and will eventually compromise the service. I would be happy to pay more for it and think consumers probably should...

Unsustainability definitionally fixes itself. It seems like the range of possibilities is somewhere between coordinated Uber/Lyft minor price hikes (a truce) to break even and fairly major price hikes as a function of regulated wage floors. But the same basic service.

Uber has done more to improve more lives than almost every company of the last hundred years. Every Uber I take has me grateful that I’ll never have to take a cab again.

I’ll listen to the idea that workers have not enjoyed the benefits of Uber they might have, and that Uber taxes urban infrastructure, but this article is self-annulling if it suggests consumers have reaped little benefit from that company. Wowsers.
