What if we just make all of the social graphs open/exportable? That at least improves the user reporting, and it enables the creation of alternatives without huge switching costs for users. Competing for money/attention already happens and people can buy stocks.

This doesn’t seem to solve any of the problems people have with FB (mainly fake news and privacy). Also would make advertising for businesses way more expensive and time consuming.
