"The business is going to zero in any scenario, so you might as well double drivers' wages on the way down" is a different argument that the one I thought you were making - but I disagree with this premise, too.

LOL: "a better Uber would have found a way to work with municipalities" I am very thankful Uber persevered despite local governments protecting the monopolistic taxi industry. It was the taxi monopoly's underinvestment in supply and tech that made Uber such a better option.
