If a person can drive a car with just stereo vision, a car can drive itself with stereo camera vision.
Like others in this thread, I think you are conflating “Tesla can build autonomous cars without LIDAR” with “Tesla will operate an autonomous fleet with the current Model 3s being produced.”

Why can it not be implemented in current model 3s? The cars already drive themself. Just shut oft access to controls and lease away.
