Probably a combo of US institutions holding up relatively well and the fact that Europe is having its own issues. Aside, I'm a big fan of "The Accidental Superpower" by

My wife and I looked at it a year ago but the biggest barrier to entry was how difficult it seemed to stay long term if you didn’t come with a company willing to vouche for you. We’ve set our sights on South America as a result; they seem much more relaxed about it all.
