Weak logic here. There's all sorts of instances where it's convenient to set arbitrary lines *somewhere* to avoid quibbling over individual cases. Voting age, driving age, Senior Citizen's Breakfast Discount at Denny's age, etc.
That’s not an arbitrary line to avoid quibbling. It’s a moral line that has been drawn at 10 figures.
How is "at 18 you can consent to sex" or "at 15 you are responsible enough to learn to drive a car" any less of a moral line?
I’m not sure it is, and I haven’t thought enough about either of those topics to have a strong opinion.
